A vegan buffet. Or as I like to call it –Â best place ever invented.
Spirit have 2 locations, Amsterdam and Rotterdam, and after an explore around Rotterdam, we thought we would try this one out. We weren’t disappointed. It was very like the vegan buffet Tibits we had visited in London.
A whole array of dishes, from ‘ribs’, curries, vegetables, lentils, sushi – everything! Really! Such a treat. They offer a takeaway, as well as dining in. The layout is very minimal and clean, located in a bio centre, and they have some great artwork – a cool space to enjoy.
We excitedly walked around the dishes on offer – 99% of which are vegan. It is safe to say we got a little carried away. This place isn’t cheap, but it is priced by weight, so you have some control over how much you eat/spend. We of course wanted some of everything!
Our idea is simple: make good food that tastes better. Better in your mouth, in your head and in your heart. So you only find dishes we have prepared daily with respect for human, animal, environment and economics. – Spirit
After the main, comes desert. After milling over the options, Michiel could not resist the stroopwafel flavour ice cream they had (sugar free too!) – which made him a very happy Dutch man!
Well worth eating here – whether it be for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I challenge you to also not indulge in one of the delicious cakes they have on offer….
