I am a former entrepreneur and now an impact investor, from the Netherlands. After surpassing many professional goals in my life, I made the decision earlier this year to take on a whole new challenge – my own health & fitness.

I had never exercised before in my life, so I started totally from scratch. The first sport I did was cycling and running with some help from friends, before deciding I would try a Personal Trainer (Holly), to help push me further and reach my goals. I soon started to thrive on the feeling exercising gave me, always finding myself striving for more. I am a goal orientated person, and started to research the biggest fitness goal of them all – Ironman. The plan was to complete Ironman Barcelona in October 2017, (3.86 km) swim, (180.25 km) bicycle ride and a marathon (26.22-mile) run. But after sufferingย life threatening bike accidentย just 5 weeks before race day, we have had to adaptย our mission.

I know this journey is going to test me to my limits, but I am excited for what is to come, and to experience it all. We will be documenting the whole way, sharing the highs, lows and all the adventures we experience along the way.

Now more than ever, this is so important for me to accomplish.
