Michiel’s birthday, we had to celebrate in style! Bon Lloc is a vegan restaurant in the centre of Palma. They pride themselves on being the first first vegetarian (Vegan now) restaurant to open in Mallorca. They have been open since 1978 and promise to offer balanced food that is respectful to the environment.

They use fresh ingredients brought in daily from the local market, many of which are organic/bio.

It was lovely inside, spacious enough, and a great atmosphere. Low music, cool artwork, and a nice space to relax in.

The menu was simple, and sounded great. The waitress was fast, and polite, and our food came quickly!

We ordered the Mallorcan caponata and the Bimi, Cauliflower & tofu grill to start, along with some organic wine, which was so good!

Both were delicious! The lots of flavours, without being too heavy (we needed room for mains!). The satay could have had more peanut flavour, but overall, super tasty!

Cheers to the Birthday Boy!

For mains, we decided on the burger, and risotto! I think I have been spoilt with risotto, I make a great one myself, I won’t lie, so it was good, but not quite as good as others I have had. The burger was juicy, full of flavour, and not too big, served with a roasted potato and cabbage coleslaw – now this was delicious!

Worth a visit, and good value for money. Great wine, and the burger was definitely a highlight!
