Known for being the first and only vegan bakery, dessert and food place in Bangkok, we were excited to see what the fuss was about! This place had great reviews on HappyCow. Luckily we had the smaller of the 3 restaurants next door to our hotel, Veganerie Soul, a small cafe style place, with a great menu!

Yes, you’re seeing right – ICE CREAM! AND, pastries, cookies, bread, cakes… unfortunately, not so healthy, as they still had sugar (rolls eyes), but good for a treat none the less, and some options without!

Acai bowls are a favourite of ours, and on our travels we always manage to hunt them down! Delicious and full of great nutrition! Including: powerful antioxidants, fibre, monounsaturated fats, iron, calcium, vitamin A. Acai also has more than DOUBLE the antioxidants of blueberries and nearly TEN TIMES that of grapes!! The antioxidants found in Acai berry, anthocyanins, are excellent for heart health. Acai berries also contain vital amino acids which help promote muscle performance, energy production, endurance and strength! ACAI POWER!

Roti – a mini pizza style dish, with a crunchy side salad and even mayo! So delicious!

After LOVING this place, we decided we had to also visit the main concept Veganerie!

The only thing about this place, it felt a little too exclusive for vegans. We often talk about this, whilst its great to have vegan only places, it’s also weird that they become a little unwelcoming to none vegans – this place is delicious, I am sure with some different marketing, it would attract so many more people, not just die hard vegans. It is becoming so much more mainstream to be vegan, and I think it would help a lot if it wasn’t an ‘us and them’ concept. Welcome people who want to try it!

The food was once again DELICIOUS…

Satay rolls, with a creamy peanut sauce

Cauliflower BBQ ‘wings’

Of course, Michiel had to have the burger!

As it was our last night in Bangkok, we also treated ourselves to some deserts! HEAVEN!

Cheesecake and Eton Mess

VEGAN CREAM! Same consistency, made with coconut

Worth the visit to both of the Vegenerie restaurants, great service and reasonably priced – with a very vegan interior!
