SUSHI. Something I thought I was going to have to say goodbye to when I went vegan. Boy, was I wrong! Itadaki means ‘to take the food life’; Zen means ‘to fix, to mend’. Itadakizen, was Europes first ever Japanese restaurant & is located on King’s Cross Road. Our last night in London called for sushi!

The Itadaki-zen restaurant was born from the need to provide those who are strong advocates of taking responsibility for their own health and preventing as much illness as possible with a source of food as medicine. In Itadaki-zen cuisine it is essential to eat a good balance of grains, vegetables and seaweeds. This will enable you to build a balance, healthy and slim body.

We ordered from the extensive menu, the tempura course, and the sushi mix to share. It soon came, with great service, and wow..I will let the pictures speak for themselves!

The food was all delicious. The right flavours all complimented each other perfectly, and we were so impressed with the selection. Exactly what sushi should be – crunchy in places, soft in places and bursting with tastes!

So worth a visit – definitely one of the best places we have been to yet! Well done Itadaizen!

Michiel was even allowed one vegan, organic beer! Party!
