We found this half by accident, walking past one day, spotting a sign saying ‘vegan’, and promising we would go back again! A quick look on Happy Cow and the great reviews, we went twice during our stay in Saint Petersburg.

A wonderful dining experience, with great staff who spoke good English, and talked us through everything that was vegan (had a lot of vegetarian dishes, but could make them vegan).

The interior was very moroccan, and cosy. They had shisha pipes, if thats your thing, in one part of the restaurant,  which actually gave the place a nice smell – a mixture of spices and aromas from the food and pipes.

The waitress on the first visit explained our dishes would take a little longer, as they use a separate pan and oils for us, which was great and much appreciated!

When it did come, the presentation was great, and the taste was incredibly flavoursome.

Veg Tagine

Kebabs

Crispy roasted potatoes with a tomato spicy dip

Hummus with ‘flapjack’ bread – so tasty! The bread was like little pancakes.

These ‘meat’ balls were incredible – made from Seitan and in a rich tomato sauce – definitely inspired me to make my own!

Definitely recommend, well worth a visit, and great value for money.

Taking these food pictures is a serious business you know!
