Our quirky hotel Campanario Del Mar in La Serena was right on the beach! The rooms were simple and clean, and after a well needed night sleep, it was time for Michiel’s cycling along the beautiful beach route!
First technical problem of the trip – Michiel’s bike..the gears locked and he was only able to stay in first gear! Nightmare – but he still managed to do 21km along the coast, with some great views!
We will get the bike fixed at the first place we see (and book Michiel onto a course to learn bike maintenance may be a good idea…)
Whilst Michiel was biking, I had a run along the shore – I love sand running and I am looking forward to Michiel trying it – it’s on his schedule for tomorrow!
